Albums
Toto's discography includes 13 studio albums and four live albums. There are also compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The group has won a number of Grammy Awards for their work.
Before the formation of Toto the band, members performed session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to the formation of Toto in 1976.

Toto has produced many music videos. The band has released a variety of compilation videos and DVDs. The most popular video of the band is "Africa" which has more than one billion views. The video takes place in a library, and shows the band performing in front of a stack of books about Africa.
The song "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. The song was written by members of the band and produced by David Paich. It was a huge hit in Europe and other countries. The success of the single helped Toto to regain their fame after their previous album Turn Back failed to chart in America.
